For two years I was able to participate in the Fine Art Camp with the Menomonie School District. These experiences helped make me feel more confident and give me a better sense of solo teaching. I was also able to make my own curriculum and submit a budget. I was able to teach 1st and 2nd grade one year and 5th and 6th graders the year after.
I was able to be a part of Art- U, a 4H internship at UW-Stout. I was a co-teacher for Kindergarten through 2nd grade. We were given ideas for what to teach then the art teachers got to take it from there. Students were sent supplies and then were taught through zoom. This was one of my first exspeirences teaching and I learned so much from it.
I was President-Elect and President for 2 1/2 years at UW Stout. Where I helped lead, promote and do the behind the scene for events. As a group we helped run the judging and facilities portion of Visual Arts Classic. I also helped lead paint alongs, helped with Stouts family weekend as well as hosting club specific events. I managed our budget. I also helped schedule and get our Stout students to National and Regional Art Education conventions! I also was able to present at one of the Wisconsin Art Education Association Conventions.
